she/her/hers
Growing up, I didn’t really know what a scientist was, or all of the different flavors of science. It wasn’t until my undergraduate at CU Boulder that I learned you could be outside, ask questions, think about how to answer those questions, and make that career. I knew then that double majoring in Geology and Geography would continue to lead me down the path of most passion! I later went to graduate school in Calgary, Alberta, Canada where I studied Glaciology in Yukon Territory. Right now (2020) I work in education and outreach for climate science and as a research assistant for an Antarctic glaciology project.
In my free time I am in the mountains rock climbing, skiing, hiking, backpacking, or just soaking it all in. When at home I am reading, writing, cooking, or doing my daily yoga practice! I also love to travel and have worked hard to experience many different places and cultures (on a tight budget!).
I am passionate about contributing to IGE because it creates opportunities that I feel like I needed most when I was growing up. I have found my way, but there are so many others who don't know how to get here. I am ecstatic to help in any way possible.
