Lucy Waghorn

Glaciologist, IGE-PNW Program Coordinator, Science Instructor

Pronouns: she/her/hers

Shaped by growing up in New Zealand, the junction of nature and science has captured my imagination. The beauty and infinite puzzle of glaciers led me to pursue a master’s degree in geophysics where I study small-scale features of Alaskan tidewater glaciers. This position at Oregon State University is where I got involved with Inspiring Girls* Expeditions. As part of the team, I enjoy the ability to give back to the community, provide opportunities for outdoor experiences, and stoke the fire of curiosity in the next generation’s minds.
