Pronouns: She/her/hers
I was first drawn to the mountains because of their awe-inspiring beauty, but I stayed because of how important they are for downstream water resources. My passion and curiosity for the high mountains has led me to pursue doctoral studies, where I aim to understand how water moves in the mountain landscape, from remote glaciers and deep snowpack to alpine lakes and rivers. Spending time in the mountains has taught me so much about my environment, but also about myself. This discovery process would not have been possible without a supportive community and generous mentors. Volunteering with IGE gives me the opportunity to give back, to support and empower young women to discover, explore and push their own boundaries. In my time away from the office, I head back into the outdoors, typically skiing, climbing, or running!
