Master studies in Geography with specialisation in glaciology; internships at the WSL-Institute for Snow and Avalanche Studies SLF in Davos and at the Forestry Office of the Canton of Graubünden; collaboration with an NGO in the Peruvian Andes; doctoral thesis on risk management of lakes in high mountains: I have been involved in a number of professional activities in the mountains.
I am fascinated and interested in natural processes and changes - such as the formation of new lakes where glaciers have melted as a result of climate change - and in the lifestyles of mountain peoples - such as in the remote regions of the Cordillera Blanca in the Peruvian Andes.
In recent years, I have worked on other subjects as an associate of the University of Zurich management and now as a project leader at Nagra and I have enjoyed the mountains more in my free time. In this context too, the mountains bring me a lot, whether as a place of retreat and discovery on hikes, as a large playground and adventure on cross-country skis or as a challenge in occasional climbing.
In all these activities, I have always had the chance to meet people who have shown me new aspects of our environment and allowed me to discover and develop my personality and skills. I am convinced that Girls on Ice expeditions also offer this possibility. Sign up, I look forward to exploring the mountains with you!
