I was inspired to pursue a career researching the environment during a 5 week field at the Biosphere II. That was the summer after my freshman year of college, and so I think of myself as a bit of a late bloomer when it comes to connecting with and exploring the natural world. But here I am, over 20 years after that magical experience, a trained marine biologist who studies all sorts of things in the Bering Sea, from seabirds to pollution to climate change. I hope that IGE can be as magical for its participants as that field course was for me all those years ago, and I am so excited to be part of that experience as the on-site coordinator for GOW in 2024.
In my free time I love getting outside with my pup, and I recently learned how to curl and have been enjoying learning a new sports and improving my skills.
