Pronouns: she/her
I am an environmental physicist with a strong interest to understand physical problems and to have a positive impact on society. During my master's studies at ETH Zurich, I developed a strong fascination for snow and ice and I have learned as much as possible about the cryosphere -- I took part in a glaciological field course, wrote my master's thesis in the field of glaciology and worked as a glaciological researcher. The previous summer, I spent in Svalbard, Norway, where I participated in a field campaign on a glacier. My studies in physics and math have shaped my thoughts and how I approach new things. I aim to explain the physical behavior of the world around me and to make the glaciers and nature "be-greifbar" to others as well. I wish to build and be part of a diverse community, to foster a network of inspiring women and I highly appreciate the team spirit and energy, that I experience with Girls* on Ice. I hope for us to be and become advocates for the Earth and wilderness stewardship, form leadership skills, communicate respectfully and, last but not least, do purposeful and meaningful research.
