she/her
I grew up in the hills, fields, and forests of northeast Ohio, where I enjoyed exploring streams and creeks from a young age. Growing up, I never knew that a career as an environmental scientist was an option. It wasn't until a college summer research opportunity introduced me to the rugged mountains and dynamic hydrology of the western US that I began considering a career as a scientist. After a few years working in environmental education and as a field tech across the west, I decided to return to school to study water resources.
I am now working towards a Ph.D. at Idaho State University, where I study the water balance of mountainous headwater streams and the implications changes to this water balance have on the amount and timing of streamflow reaching downstream communities. In my free time, I enjoy paddling, running, scrambling, and human-powered adventures in the mountains.
Iām very excited to be a part of the Inspiring Girls community to support and empower the next generation of scientists, adventurers, artists, and leaders.
