she/her/hers
I am excited to share my combined love of science and the outdoors with young people while working with Inspiring Girls Expeditions! I grew up exploring the outdoors and asking questions about how the world around me functioned, and I hope to help our teams of participants feel similarly inspired and curious while learning from each other in a beautiful natural environment.
I am a PhD candidate in Geology at Oregon State University, where I use sediments collected from the ocean floor to answer questions about past periods in Earth’s history. I am interested in the history of the magnetic field that is recorded in sediments, and how this record can be used to explore changes in ice sheets, sea level, ocean and sediment dynamics, and tectonics. When I’m not working, I enjoy hiking, reading, baking, and knitting.
