My first experience hiking on glaciers was the participation in the expedition of the field work training on the glacier 354 and mass balance measurements of it in August, 2015, during my internship in Kyrgyzstan. This adventure was the most memorable in my life, because I reached a height of about 4000 m, where firstly we learned how to use climbing equipment and work in a team. Also I discovered such beauty and amazing variety of our nature. Now I am really glad, that this programme "Adventure of Science - Women and Glaciers, Central Asia" can help young girls to take this opportunity to reach their own achievements by exploring, learning and sharing.
At the moment, I work as a junior research worker in Central Asian Institute of Applied Geosciences (CAIAG), Kyrgyzstan. I work with GIS systems and Remote Sensing.
I did my B.Sc in Applied Geodesy in 2013 in KSUCTA, Kyrgyzstan. Then I earned my M.Sc. in Applied Geoinformatics at the University of Salzburg in 2016. In my master’s I quantified change assessment of Petrov glacier and lake and its surroundings between 1975 and 2014 in the Akshyirak massif, Kyrgyzstan using OBIA tool. In this work, I tried to touch a questions of vulnerable conditions of glaciers in Kyrgyzstan, as they help keeping the environment healthy and store an important amount of fresh water."
