I have been working as a meteorologist at the Uzhydromet for more than 15 years. Due to family circumstances I had to leave my position, and currently I live in a mountain village with my son and daughter. Since 2016 I have been involved, first in CATCOS project, and , since 2017, CICADA project in field expeditions to the Barkrak glacier in western Tien Shan.
I am passionate about mountain environment and eager to pass my knowledge to younger generations. Though I have not obtained a University degree in Natural sciences, I have spent all my life in the mountains and have a long experience in observing mountain environment as a meteorologist. I love working on the glaciers and just being in the mountains.
In the future I would like to learn English and gain some computer skills as I would like to be able to further my understanding of glacier processes and changes occurring in the mountain environment.
