Working with Inspiring Girls* Expeditions is one of the great joys of my career, as I am able to support a program so near and dear to my heart. I would have loved to be exposed to such amazing mentors at such a young age. I earned my bachelor’s degrees from the University of Maryland, College Park in International Relations and Psychology. My research interests lie in the intersections of gender, climate change, and international peace and conflict. At the Alaska Climate Adaptation Science Center, I work as part of the Alaska Tribal Resilience Learning Network team, helping create spaces for sharing and learning from one another as we adapt to our changing climate. With a combined IGE and Learning Network team, I am part of a group of folks working towards developing an expedition designed for Indigenous and Alaska Native Youth. In the summer, I enjoy backpacking, camping, and hanging around greenhouses, and in the winter, I love painting, snowboarding, and cross-country skiing. Dance is the throughline that keeps me sane year-round.
