(She/her/hers)
The living world has always been a source of inspiration, learning, and wonder for me. From the Sonoran Desert bioregion, Mexico's Gulf of California, to the coast of Oregon, I've been fortunate enough to become connected to place through my work as a visual artist, writer, conservationist, educator, and scientist. I received my B.A. from Prescott College in Environmental Studies and, most recently, my M.S. degree from Oregon State University in Marine Resource Management. What I feel most interested in is understanding the many ways that humans and the environment intersect and how we might cultivate more connection and care in that relationship. The best part of all of my experiences is being able to share them as well as help nurture others' similar curiosities. The role of mentorship and teaching is a meaningful one; I do my best to approach it with compassion and heart. As an instructor for Inspiring Girls Expeditions, I'm excited to grow together and into a deeper relationship with nature.
