For more than 10 years I have been a full-time mountain and ski guide in the Alps. My main activity is on high altitude tours in Austria and Switzerland. The dangers and drastic changes of glaciers are omnipresent in my profession. The enthusiasm for the high mountains has accompanied me since my youth. I can't imagine my life without mountains and nature. The choice to study "Meteorology and Geophysics" in Innsbruck was my attempt to combine my hobby with science. During my studies I also participated in various scientific glacier measurements. With the subsequent training as a mountain and ski guide, I turned my back on science for the time being. Being a woman in this nevertheless very male-dominated profession of mountain guiding never felt "exceptional" to me. Since I grew into this subject from a young age, it was simply natural for me to realize myself in this direction and to share and pass on my passion and enthusiasm with other people. Also in my spare time I live out my mountain enthusiasm. In winter I go ski touring and as soon as the conditions allow it I go climbing. There may be the one or other challenge, but I'm not looking for new alpine milestones, but prefer safety and joy in my actions.
