Pronouns: she/her/hers
I first stepped on a glacier when I was a masters student, spending a summer studying the hydrology of a small glacier in the Rockies. Immediately I became fond of the remoteness and learning from the quickly changing environment. Currently, I am a PhD candidate at the University of Calgary. I study climate change and the impact of changing glacier mass balance on water availability in the Lhù’ààn Mân (Southern Tutchone for Kluane Lake) watershed. I am extremely lucky to spend my summers in southwest Yukon learning about this region. Volunteering with Girls on Ice Canada (GOIC) has created an avenue to share my love for the outdoors and science with the next generation of leaders. I am excited to be part of the team bringing the GOIC expedition to Yukon Territory. When I have leisure time, I enjoy running, reading, and horseback riding.
