Inspiring Girls* Expeditions combines so many of my passions into one program. I have a deep love for science, art and the outdoors and have focused on gaining experience in outdoor education and science education while pursuing art in my free time. I received my master’s degree in Biology and have received a certificate in Scientific Teaching & Outreach from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Teaching people about science and the outdoors gives me hope for the future, and inspires me to keep pursuing knowledge. I have led outdoor trips, outdoor field semesters, and have an interest and skills in wilderness/emergency medicine. I spend my free time as a ski patroller in Fairbanks, a camp counselor and advocate for foster youth, and doing crafts like basket weaving and wood carving. In January 2025 I was hired as the Experiential Education Program Coordinator for Inspiring Girls* Expeditions Alaska and for the Fostering Science program.
