I am an Australian living in Tyrol and working as a freelance artist and in winter also as a ski guide. After studying art in Melbourne, I spent years commuting between Australia and Austria. In the mountains I am at home. Winter is my favorite season and I am always sad when it is over. But I am also very happy about summer and all the possibilities it brings us, in sports on the mountains and in art. Mountains and nature in general, are the inspiration for my art. Moods, light and shadow, shapes and structures, ... The connection between the self and the mountains, and more and more the connection between earth and humanity. All this is connected. The earth and everything that lives here. I have several artistic projects that I'm working on at the moment that address the theme of connection - connection. The nature/earth, the mountains, the clouds, the mountain daws, the wind, light, shadows... this is what I call soul food, it gives us strength and energy and is an endless source of inspiration.It is a way through art, be it painting, music, poetry or any other creative expression, to perceive our surroundings differently/newly.
