From growing up outdoors in the Kootenay region of British Columbia to obtaining an Environmental Science Master’s degree in Wildlife Ecology from Germany, I have developed a strong passion for nature and its protection. I work as an ecologist in the Columbia Valley and beyond, with a focus on managing and conserving wildlife. After my days in the field or office, I am usually out adventuring in the mountains, rock and ice climbing, ski touring and slacklining over airy spaces. As an instructor with Girls on Ice Canada, I seek to build courage, confidence and a sense of environmental stewardship in the next generation of female-identifying individuals as they discover their passions within science and outdoor recreation.
