I’m an artist, educator, and designer working at the confluence of art and environmental science. Through making, teaching, and organizing, I harness creative practices to deepen human connection to Earth systems and foster intersectional approaches to climate justice. Partnering with environmental and outdoor organizations, like the Juneau Icefield Research Program, Chulengo Expeditions, and Parks Canada, I teach art as an inclusive method of research, experimentation, and communication. I am passionate about expanding and reimagining the ways we think and learn about geosciences, to make space for more intersectional and inclusive approaches to these fields.
I am beyond thrilled to be returning to teach with Inspiring Girls*. My favorite part of teaching Girls* on Ice is the camaraderie, silliness, and support that is shared in small, remote teams, and carries through the entire IG*E extended community. Plus I just LOVE learning about glaciers!
I have been spending my summers teaching in Alaska since 2017. Nowadays, the rest of the year I live in Providence, RI, where I also work as a graphic designer for a small environmental agency. When I’m not working, I love making art in my sunny studio, playing rec soccer, and napping with my cat, Goose.
