I believe in pursuing things with passion and that passion is contagious. I have worked as an educator for over a decade, both in the classroom and in the wild. My favourite moments are always when my students get excited about something and I can see the light bulbs go off. Through Inspiring Girls Expeditions I want to help other young women find the things that they are passionate about, whether it is out in the mountains or somewhere else. I am currently passionately pursuing better understanding of the mysteries of surging glaciers at the Universities of Calgary and Waterloo. My research focuses on the intersection of surface melt, water routing, and glacier surges through the use of time lapse photography and computer modeling.
