I am a postdoctoral ecologist at the University of Colorado Boulder exploring the vast biological diversity in nature, especially at the ends of the Earth (Arctic and Antarctic). The invisible microscopic world has a wealth of lessons to teach us about biological diversity, and microscopic life in extreme environments have incredible “superpowers” to explore – although they are real and explainable by science!
When not conducting research, I enjoy exploring and adventuring outdoors, especially rock climbing. Sharing my experiences and discoveries from polar and alpine environments is not just an obligation but a privilege - especially when I can bring others along on that journey to conduct their own research and exploration. IGE expeditions provide an opportunity for girls to grow in those areas.
