Pronouns: she/her/hers
During my geography studies in Freiburg im Breisgau (Germany) and my work as a research assistant in Norway, I have been particularly interested in issues of justice in the context of climate change adaptation and sustainability. After exploring the Black Forest and the Norwegian fjord the Alps, but also the University of Zurich attracted me to Switzerland. Here, in my doctoral studies, I am investigating the effects of the effects of digitally mediated care for children and elderly people on the workers and urban coexistence.
While I grew up in the flat countryside as a child and always enjoyed being curiously active in the nature, it was not until late in life that I became interested in outdoor activities such as climbing, hiking, camping hiking, camping, skiing or racing bicycles. Besides the geographical hobbies, I also thought for a long time that I was not athletic or talented enough for it. It is only in the last few years that I have learned the joy of sports and being in nature can bring and this is completely independent of abilities or performance.
The active communication of this knowledge is a central concern for me in my commitment to Girls* on Ice. Furthermore, I would like to teach young people that there are questions, that science comes from curiosity and that nature does not discriminate between gender differences, origin or ability. As an instructor of Girls* on Ice Schweiz, I am very much looking forward to the exchange and encounters with young women* in nature.
