I’m a geoscientist with a love for international culture and exploratory travel, and a passion for life-long learning. I’ve worked in the field of applied earth sciences for many years, specializing in hydrogeology and numerical modelling. Through my academic and professional endeavors, I’ve been lucky to contribute to many exciting geoscience projects across the globe, including Arctic regions of Canada and the United States, the High Andes of Chile and Argentina, and the Bengal Delta in eastern India.
In 2019, I started a PhD at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland and am currently researching climate change effects on permafrost hydrology in arid mountain environments. I was inspired by my colleagues at the university to join the Adventure of Science instructor team, which seeks to inspire, teach, and connect with young women in Central Asia in the fields of cryospheric science and wilderness stewardship. It’s truly an honour to be a part of the team, to be able to share my knowledge and experiences, and to learn from aspiring young women scientists!
