She/her/hers
I am an educator, conservationist and artist from the North Cascades in Washington. Since studying Environmental Science at Colby College, I have taught conservation science and led field work in Chilean Patagonia and the American West for students ranging from elementary to college age. In the winter, I coordinate projects, outreach and data management for the Cascades Wolverine Project. My woodcut printmaking art practice complements all of this as a space to process and share complex environmental stories. Much of my artistic and scientific inspiration comes from encounters with wild flora, fauna and landscapes when I am in the mountains on my feet and skis, or commercial fishing in Alaska!
I run on inquiry, creativity and movement, so I am beyond thrilled to work with Inspiring Girls* Expeditions at the confluence of these vital ways of knowing our changing world in community with incredible students and instructors.
