Pronouns: she/her/hers
After completing an apprenticeship as a computer scientist, I decided to study mathematics at the University of Zurich and aimed for a career in banking. After two years I had to admit that this wasn't the right path for me. I made the best decision of my life back then. I majored in geography and minored in math. Now I could combine my love of nature with my affinity for numbers. Now I'm at the end of my master's degree and in my master's thesis I'm investigating the ice flow rate of the Gorner Glacier.
My physiotherapist and a slight scoliosis got me into sport climbing. Having started in the climbing hall, I am now looking for beautiful climbing routes all over the world and prefer to travel by bike with only the most necessary equipment. In addition to sport climbing, I like to go mountaineering and ski touring. I am fascinated by the ice masses on our glaciers, the calm in the mountains and the interaction of various highly complex processes.
Now a new adventure begins. I am very happy to be a part of Girls on Ice Schwitzerland and to have the chance to accompany young and strong women on their way into science and mountain sports. I hope that I can pass on a lot of my enthusiasm.
