Pronouns: she/her/hers
In my personal experience, there are situations, people and experiences that not only shape your life but are decisive in determining which path you take in life. In my own life, I have been fortunate enough to have met certain people who have helped me see things from a different perspective and encouraged me to embrace new experiences.
These encounters inspired me to become a social worker and to engage in youth work with the aim of passing on this experience to young people. By helping them to develop self-confidence and self-efficacy I hope to support and encourage them to explore new horizons.
As an overall coordinator for Girls* on Ice Austria/Switzerland I am excited to be part of a team that gives young women the opportunity to learn, grow, and lead so that they become powerful agents of change in their communities and beyond. Offering young women an chance to build relationships and connections with their peers and mentors provides them with a sense of community and support which – in my view - is crucial in creating a safe space for girls to develop into strong, confident, and empowered individuals.
