Having completed a Bachelor of Science in Geography, Development Studies and Māori Studies at Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University Wellington, I am looking forward to pursuing a Master’s of Indigenous Studies. I am passionate about environmental sustainability and how it can be guided by indigenous knowledges, particularly by mātauranga Māori here in New Zealand. This research opportunity sparks interest in me as it navigates the relationship between Western science and Indigenous knowledge, while also empowering other girls into this field too! I’m looking forward to following the journey of Girls on Ice in Aotearoa!
