Pronouns: she/her/hers
As long as I can remember I have been in contact with science and outdoors thanks to my father. Even though I stuck more to the science part than to the outdoors, some of my best memories come from the time I spent in the mountains. One of those wonderful memories is my expedition with Girls on Ice as a participant back in 2017 ! I found it a very enriching experience and am now very glad to participate in the organization of the expeditions.
For the science part, I am currently studying for a master of robotics at EPFL after having completed a bachelor in Microengineering. Next to my studies, I give robotics courses to children and mentor younger students to welcome them into the study environment.
I grew up in Neuchâtel, a town in the french part of Switzerland. Both my parents come from the german part of Switzerland, which means I grew up bilingual; a great advantage that also helped me getting a spot in the 2017 expedition.
I think opportunities like Girls on Ice are just wonderful and help a lot building confidence and passion. I am, once again, very happy that I had this opportunity and want to help maintain it so that others might experience it as well.
