My love of glaciers began in 2016 when I attended a field course in Arolla, a small village in the mountains of Switzerland! Iād never been in the mountains before, never worked in snow or seen a glacier but getting to experience this made me want to study glaciers forever. In my research I use computer models to explore how Antarctica is changing in response to present and future climate change. I believe it is important to visit the places you learn about in books and on computers in order to better understand them. Expeditions such as Girls* on Ice Aotearoa provide an awesome opportunity for girls* to connect with the environment and learn more about why we need to protect it.
When away from the ice, you can find me on two wheels: mountain biking or riding motorcycles.
I lead an Antarctic fieldwork event and have done for two years already.
